Cheryl Kolf
MS MEd, LPC

Cheryl’s professional journey began in education, working as a special education teacher supporting children and adolescents with intellectual and learning disabilities, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders. As she recognized the growing mental health needs of the students and families she served, she continued her education at the University of St. Thomas, earning certification in Autism Spectrum Disorders, and later at Viterbo University, where she earned master’s degrees in both Education and Mental Health Counseling.

With a strong background in both education and counseling, Cheryl has extensive experience helping children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate life’s challenges, transitions, disappointments, and emotional struggles. She works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and adjustment-related concerns, while also advocating for individuals with disabilities and aging populations.

Cheryl takes a person-centered, strength-based approach to counseling and incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, narrative therapy, and wellness-focused techniques into her work. She believes every person deserves to feel heard, supported, and empowered to live a meaningful life aligned with their values and goals.

Outside of counseling, Cheryl values faith and family deeply and prioritizes both in her daily life. She enjoys reading, gardening, cooking, and spending time in nature. Cheryl treasures her roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and counselor, and brings warmth, compassion, and authenticity into the work she does with others.

Appointments are available in Reedsburg.
